Iron sulfide measurement tool in coal
2020-12-02

What are the measuring tools for iron sulfide in coal? The following introduces you:

  1. Method summary. Use hydrochloric acid to extract the non-iron sulfide material in the coal, use dilute nitric acid to extract the extracted coal sample, use potassium dichromate to titrate the iron in the nitric acid extract, and use the iron mass to calculate the iron sulfide sulfur content in coal.

  2. Reagents and materials. The water used is secondary water used in the laboratory. (1) Nitric acid solution: volume ratio 17. (2) Ammonia solution: volume ratio 11. (3) Hydrogen peroxide. (4) Hydrochloric acid solution: Dilute 417 ml of hydrochloric acid with water to make 1L, stir and prepare. (5) Sulfuric acid-phosphoric acid mixture: carefully mix 150 ml of sulfuric acid (relative density 1.84) and 150 ml of phosphoric acid, pour the mixture into 700 ml of water and mix it as a spare.

    (6) Tin dichloride solution: 100g/L. Dissolve 10g of tin dichloride in 50ml of dilute hydrochloric acid, add water to dilute to 100ml (prepared before use). (7) Saturated mercuric chloride solution: 80g mercuric chloride is dissolved in 1000ml water. (8) Standard solution of potassium dichromate. Pre-dried at 150°C to a certain quality 2.4518g of super pure potassium dichromate, dissolved in a small amount of water. Transfer the solution to a 1L bottle and dilute to the mark with water.

    (9) Sodium diphenylamine sulfonate indicator: 2g/L. Dissolve 0.2g of sodium diphenylamine sulfonate in 100ml of water and store it in a brown bottle for preparation. (10) Potassium thiocyanate: 20g/L. 2 g of potassium thiocyanate was dissolved in 100 ml of water. (11) Filter paper: Slow and fast qualitative filter paper.

    3. Instrument and equipment (1) Control box: It can maintain a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius. (2) Surface plate: 100 mm in diameter. (3) Beaker: capacity (250~300) ml.

The above is the introduction of iron sulfide measurement tools in coal, thanks for reading.
